I recieved my dash (STACK 8130 model) after a month (which they did
say it would be as it's made to order only.  Just have to work out a way
of fitting it to the bike now as nobody I could find made a pod for it.

You can see what came in the kit in the picture below.

In the first picture is:

1. The dash itself (Stack 8130)
2. The wiring loom (which will need to be cut and shortened)
3. The wheel speed sensor (needs to be mounted close to disc bolts)
4. The oil pressure sensor (big ugly thing at back)
5. The oil and water temperature sensors (next to ugly thing)
6. The four switches for programming/selection of the dash functions

In the close up of the dash in the second picture there are lights
either side of the tacho, the left one is for fuel level and the right
one is for alarm conditions (low oil pressure/shift light etc).

You may have noticed the staggered RPM range as well, this is just
a feature of the Stack dash and can be seen on other brands.  The
rev range is 0-4000rpm in the bottom first segment and then expands
to 10,000rpm, I have chosen this range as the 916 makes its max
power at 9000rpm and there's not much point revving the bike over
10,000 as the power curves drop off above 9500rpm.

I need to find locations on the bike to mount the sensors which
means making new holes in the engine housing somewhere :-(,
but I'll try and avoid that if I can.  The bike already has sensors
for water etc but I think the wires from them goto the ECU for the
fuel injection managment, so I'll leave them be.
I can remove the low oil sensor though as this doesn't, and will allow
me to run a remote pipe to the replacement oil pressure sensor.  I'll
mount it on the inside of the frame somewhere so it can't be seen
cos its bloody ugly :-)

I need to get hold of some carbon sheets to make a mount for the
dashboard and will update the site when it's done.

The panels and tank go off next week for painting which will take a
couple of weeks but I've seen what the paintshop can do (they don't use
pinstripe cos they paint all the stripeing instead) so the panels should
come back looking the bollocks :-)  I've also got to give them the stickers
that I've had made up.

I'm still waiting for my rear caliper bracket to arrive so I can mount the AP
rear caliper (only been 6+ weeks), so just have to keep my fingers crossed.
The Ohlins forks and Harris triple clamp yokes are still on order since Jan
and they reckon they'll be here mid April hopefully so I may have them in
time for the May Day run on the 3rd (bank holiday).
