Hmm been a while since I updated the site but that's cos I've not done much to
the
bike recently. I finally got around to sorting out the rear indicators and mounted
them in the brakelight as I said I'd do ages ago. Check out the pictures below.

I used the side indicators off the latest model
BMW 3 Series, these cost about £40.00 from BMW
themselves.
They need the edges trimmed off slightly so they fit
properly in the lenses, then I used the bulb holders from
my old clocks (busted ones) as they have rubber housings,
which are a nice tight fit into the lens.
I changed the bulbs for 5Watt ones to make
them a tad brighter.
Then I made up the wiring loom that runs out of the brake light through the
original O-Ring, and
then runs down the underside of the seat unit alongside the brake light wiring. I
used Power-Pole
connectors to make a multiplug, as these can be joined together to form a single large
connector.

This is how the indicator looks while flashing, you can
see the break between the indicator and brake light
from the outside. This helps distinguish between them
when in use.
Unfortunatly the light flashes red (as it's behind the brake
lens) and the indicators are supposed to be orange over
here but I'll wait and see if I get nicked for it.

And this is how it looks with the lights on - not too bad
I reckon. I should be ok except for the light being red
as mentioned earlier.
