Picked up my magnesium swingarm yesterday which means I can finally start rebuilding my bike!!!!  Whoopie!

I spent today putting the bits back together but was a nightmare as I'd forgotten how the wiring went, luckily I'd taken a few pics prior to dismantling the bike so I had something to go on. :o)

The swingarm comes with a magnesium hub and the new billet alloy two position rocker, this saves you having to buy a new shock (longer Corsa model) as needed by previous models.  I've taken a couple of pics which you can see below and used the titanium bolts as required.  I still need one more for the rocker as mine was too short.

The swingarm is 20mm longer and you can see this by the amount the shock is moved further back from the engine, now I have the problem of my shock guard no longer fits!!!  I'll sort that problem out later! ;o)  Also my nice DID ERV2 chain no longer fitted so I've had to buy another one (another DID ERV2 one), I won't add a pic as it looks the same.

Below you can see how far I've got with the bike so far, not bad for a days work.  I need to order some replacement parts before I can work out how much of the wiring to leave loose etc, so there may be a slight delay before I can continue with the rebuilding process.

One last piccy of the billet rocker before I depart this installment.

It's my birthday :o)  Another quick update as I've done a bit more to the bike, I refitted the old headlamp bracket for now (I'll change it for the new one when the bracket arrives) so I could do the wiring.  You can see the pics below, I've sorted out most of the wiring now, fitted the carbs and airbox, rad, piping etc.

Did a couple more bits on the bike, bit hard to finish it off until I recieve some of the new parts I've ordered including the new battery box and headlamp bracket.   I've got the old battery box fitted so I can do the wiring etc.  I've fitted the new 48t clutch now and also the crash cover; nice alloy one cos the carbon one is (was) too weak ;o)  You can see the pic below.

I need to get the downpipes polished as well, I'm not going for the wrap stuff this time around.  Also now I've changed the swingarm it's a very close fit to the exhaust pipe, so much so it just touches when unsupported.  This shouldn't cause any problems once the bike is loaded up but it's annoying all the same.  The mag arm is a tad more beefy, so I'm guessing this is the reason it's rubbing; hence I'll have a new pipe made up when I get a chance to sort this 'technical' hitch.

I've also fitted the carbon shock guard back on the bike.  Along the way it seems that my brother has 'ponced' some of my parts that have been sitting in boxes, hence I need to order some replacement bits :o(  Hopefully this won't hold me up too much.   You can see the shock guard fitted below.

Another update for you people out there who are still following this rebuild.   I've decided to drop the anodized red nuts and bolts on the bike, as I think it will look better with silver titanium bolts etc instead.  Hence I'm changing the bolts as I go along and if I haven't got it in titanium I'll get one when possible.

Below you can see some of the titanium I picked up yesterday to start my 'new look' ;o)

Sorry about the quality of the pictures I'm still working out the best settings for my new digi camera, I'm not reading the manual yet cos that would take the fun outta it. ;o)  In the first picture there is a wide range of bolts and nuts to do virtually all of the bike, so I still need to get a few more to finish.  In the second picture I've got some new titanium disc bolts because my brother nobbled mine while the bike's been off the road; also I've got the rear cush drive nuts in ti as well.

I've also picked up the suspension pivot bolt in titanium along with the nut, this is the bolt that holds the rocker in the top of the frame.

As I'm going for the stealth look this time around, I've gone for clear rear indicators which I'm going to tint slightly so it matches the bodywork and you can see them below.  I'll add another picture after they're smoked so you can see the difference.

Last but not least a quick piccy of part of the engine so you can see some of the bolts fitted.  Because the bikes in a corner of the workshop it's a bit hard to get a good picture.  I'll do some better ones when I have a chance.
